By enrolling in a class or program at Los Angeles Salsa and Bachata Dance Academy, students agree to the following enrollment policies.

Eligibility AND Enrollment

• Participants confirm that they are at least 18 years of age and are enrolling in one or more instructional programs offered by Los Angeles Salsa and Bachata Dance Academy.

• Participation in our series requires advance payment in order to reserve a spot in the class.

• Our classes are structured as progressive multi-week programs, where each week builds on material taught in previous sessions. When you enroll, your place in the class is reserved for the entire duration of the series, similar to enrolling in a college course.

• Students acknowledge that dance involves physical risks, including injury, and that close contact during classes may expose them to COVID-19 or other illnesses. By joining, they voluntarily accept these risks and release Los Angeles Salsa and Bachata Dance Academy, Alexis Massey, and all affiliated parties from any liability, whether due to negligence or otherwise, related to injuries or illness arising from their participation.

• Students acknowledge that the personal information provided during enrollment is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Payments, Refunds AND Transfers

• All enrollments require full payment in advance.

• Refunds, cancellations, or transfers of credit will not be permitted under any circumstances.

• Late payment may be subject to penalties and may result in loss of participation in the class.

• If a student withdraws after a specified period, a cancellation fee may apply.

Missed Classes

• Students are expected to attend at least 80% of classes.

• If you need to miss a class, please notify the Academy in advance whenever possible.

• Because class sizes are limited and your place is reserved for the full series:

  • Missed classes cannot be rescheduled

  • Missed classes are not eligible for refunds or credits

• To support continued progress, the Academy will provide a brief video summary of the new material covered in each class.

Joining Mid-Season​

• Students may join a class after the series has started, subject to availability and instructor approval.

• Tuition will be prorated based on the number of remaining classes. View chart below for prorated tuition.

• If joining after Week 3, students must first complete an Intro Lesson ($90) to review key fundamentals and material already covered so they can comfortably integrate into the class.​​​
